Rising up in Spring
Everyone is awaiting spring. In the Rochester area, a bit of snow is still around. However, daffodils and crocuses are trying to bring some spring color to the landscape. Where I currently live in North Carolina, the forsythias and most of the flowering trees have been in full bloom.
I feel like a crocus that has just popped its head up out of the winter ground. I have spent the last four months recovering from major surgery and from chemo. That’s why I haven’t been blogging or tweeting lately. I have been dormant all winter, but I’m back again. These events did not stop me from working on my book, however. My third book was finished and out on Amazon right after my surgery in December. I spent most of my days indoors the next three months, writing and polishing the last three books in my new series. I am thrilled to say that my fourth book, Ella’s New Friend, should be available for sale by next week. This book deals with issues of bullying and self-esteem. Ella befriends the new girl and tries to help Gretchen discover her true value.
On Sunday, April 12th, I will be doing a reading at the Cameron Village Library in Raleigh. This reading is from my third book, Ella’s Secret Gift. I will also do a book signing there. The time is 2-4pm and the address is 1930 Clark Avenue, Raleigh. Hope many of you can make it!
Have a Happy Easter and a beautiful spring!
